An evening cruise on the River Thames
There’s nothing more refreshing than gaining a new perspective on something familiar. There’s nothing like witnessing the magic of something you have become accustomed to, all over again, completely new. A couple of days ago I got to do exactly that in London, when my brother and I went on an evening River Thames cruise from Westminster pier with City Cruises.
I saw London with completely new eyes.
We admired London’s skyline glisten against the winter night sky. I soaked up London’s iconic landmarks as I floated alongside them.
It’s easy to take living in this incredible city for granted. I rush around it day in and day out, between meetings, to jobs. I often completely forget to look up and around at the gorgeous landmarks and history in front of me.
Needless to say, it was so nice this week to step on board an evening cruise at Westminster pier with my brother and toast a glass of bubbly as we meandered down the Thames to Greenwich and back.
I would highly recommend booking this evening Thames cruise if you’re looking for those iconic views of London with a special touch. The two hour cruise is the perfect way to step back and spend some quality time with a loved one, romantically or not.
With canapés, a glass of bubbly and live music included in your Thames cruise ticket – I would push it as the perfect pre dinner experience.
We hopped on at 6.15pm, departed from Westminster pier at 6.30pm and returned to the same place two hours later.
Though seeing a city by twilight is always the most magical in my opinion, there are lunch, dinner and afternoon tea Thames cruise options available too!
Have you been on a river cruise?
