My Las Vegas Bucket List

Updated On 26th April, 2020

So Wednesday should have seen me fly from Las Vegas to LA, after having spent 4 incredible days in the sleepless city.
However, if you are on my social media or read this blogpost, then you will know that I narrowly escaped death on Sunday after falling asleep at the wheel and rolling my car in the middle of the desert…
Not ideal.
I still can’t quite believe it happened, or even that I crawled out of the wreck without major injury. I feel so so lucky that now, two days later, I am able to continue my adventure through to LA without a scratch or… anything actually.
Just a broken GoPro and a few dents to my bank account, minor detail in the grand scheme of things… SO minor.
I have been given another chance, and for that reason I can’t be gutted that I had to cancel my plans for the Antelope Canyon, the Grand Canyon or Las Vegas.
It is frustrating that I was so close to them, and didn’t witness them, but I’m pretty sure they aren’t going anywhere anytime soon so I’ll just have to come back.
I know a lot of you guys were looking forward to my tips in Vegas, which unfortunately I cannot give from personal experience now.
But through research and the advice I was given, I had a put together a little itinerary for my time there, which i can still share with you.
Hotels
– We booked our hotel through booking.com, on which you can pick up some AMAZING deals on the top hotels.
– It is also worth checking out GroupOn + Expedia – OR if money is no issue head straight to TripAdvisor to see the best that’s on offer… ‘The 10 Best Hotels in Vegas’
– Knowing we were going to be out of the hotel for the majority of our stay, we chose something mid range but still on the strip and walking distance from everything – The MGM (a great option to save money too as we were to have a kitchenette). We booked through booking.com and paid $300 for 3 of us to stay 2 nights. ($165 of it was non-refundable upon cancellation on the morning of our stay)
– If you have the budget, The Venetian, Wynn and Caesars are meant to be amazing hotels to stay in.
Also… few of my friends have recently stayed in The Cosmopolitan and highly recommended it.
My Vegas Bucket List:
– Take a photo with the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas Sign’ (obviously)
– Visit the Bellagio Fountains
– Go for a dinner Buffet at The Wynn
– Visit the Lollipop Sugar Factory and try a Reece’s PB Martini!
– Do the Slotzilla Zipline ($25 dollars from 77ft) or the Zoomline ($45 from 144ft)
– Go on a Gondola ride at The Venetian
– Take a Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour
– Jump off The Stratosphere Las Vegas Hotel with SkyJumpLasVegas
– Take a Helicopter ride over the strip
– Check out the Breathe Oxygen Bar at The Venetian
– Go to a Pool party!
{E.g. Wet Republic, Encore. Check out what is on during your stay here – Electronic Vegas Calendar}
– NYC rollercoaster
– Have a cocktail at Serendipity Bar, Caesars palace
– Get a cupcake from the Cupcake ATM
– Go and see a show! Browse the shows here
