Tea and Cake at The BB Bakery, Covent Garden ♡

If you read my last post you’ll already know this, but last saturday I went to London for the day with my mum for her birthday.
First of all we both decided to spoil ourselves in the shops, namely Topshop and NewLook.
Here’s me in one of my fav pur-chases… (you may recognise this from my instagram)
Embellished top – Topshop
White pumps – Similar that I would style it with from Topshop
Once we’d spent all our money, we headed to The BB Bakery in Covent Garden for afternoon tea (my treat)…

We were both feeling quite under the weather, (I had had a cold and passed it onto mum :D) and so we weren’t feeling hungry enough for the whole afternoon tea package.

Instead we opted for tea and cake 🙂

I completely forgot but I had called up earlier and told them it was mums birthday, so it was a lovely surprise when they came out with a macaroon and a birthday candle in a little vintage saucer for her.

‘Happy birthday to yooooou, happy birthday to yooooou…’

It was the vintage tea cups and saucers that initially led me to choose this bakery. I LOVE vintage florals and pastels so much, like, they make me really happy. Haha, forget about the tea and cake, it’s all about the dishware.
🙂

Only joking.
It’s all about the cake.
All the cakes and treats here at BB Bakery are freshly made every day and my GOSH can you tell.
They are truley scrumptious and we just about managed every mouthful 🙂

Well, neaaaarly.
If you don’t manage to finish what you’ve ordered, they have some super cute takeaway boxes for you to take the rest home in. 🙂
We paid £8.20 each for tea and cake.
It may seem on the more expensive side in comparison to your Starbucks order, but these goodies are fresh, beautifully presented and in the beautiful setting of Covent Garden.
Afternoon tea is £26 each, or £33 with a glass of Rose champagne.
If you wanna head to BB Bakery pop ‘WC2N 5BY’ into your google maps.

ALSO CHECK THIS OUT – new for April 2014.
You can book an Afternoon Tea Bus Tour.
Have afternoon tea whilst sightseeing around London. I mean, what a COOL idea!!!!!
I would LOVE to do this – officially added to my to-do list.

Do you know any other cute places to have afternoon tea in London?
I could never turn down tea and cake so let me know if you have any suggestions…
