Pop Brixton, Brixton's latest and coolest hang out

Updated On 27th June, 2018

Hello 🙂
…And may I just say welcome to all you new readers out there!
It’s been a crazy week this week since my blog and work was featured in local, national and global newspapers. Eeeeek!
I’m super grateful for all of your support…
Please do introduce yourself in the comments below and let me know if there is something you’d like to see more of on my blog / in my videos!
If you haven’t yet seen the articles you can view them here:
Daily Mail – read here
Metro – read here
Elite Daily – read here
But anyway, WELCOME TO THE ADVENTURE.

Today I am bringing to you a little hotspot in London that I accidentally stumbled across yesterday called, Pop Brixton.
I was invited down to try yumitub – London’s first Thai rolled icecream parlour, completely clueless that it was part of a shipping container set up!
I LOVE places like this.
There’s one similar in Shoreditch called BoxPark & there’s another coming soon to East Croydon.
I actually also went to one in Christchurch, New Zealand when i was backpacking called Re:start.
Have any of you guys been there?!

Commissioned by Lambeth council and opened on the 29th May 2015, Pop Brixton is a project to support local jobs, training and enterprise.
You won’t see your highstreet favourites in here, instead Pop Brixton hosts small, independent, start up entrepreneurs from the food + drinks, arts and retail sectors.
The units are available at an affordable 20-50% of market rate – making trade a reality for many business start ups.
GOOD NEWS, the project has been commissioned for 2 years before it gets reassessed and we are only 4 months in!

It may look a bit empty in my pictures, but I did go mid week, in the middle of the day.
By evening and weekend, Pop Brixton fills RIGHT up with groups of friends hanging out after work, having a few drinks and a bite to eat.
There is food on offer from all corners of the world and definitely something for everyone.
Ghana, Vietnam, Japan, France & Thailand to name just a few.
Sweet, savoury, snack or main meal, Pop Brixton can sort you out & I highly recommend popping down if you are in the area!
Note: The yumitub rolled icecream is UNREAL – you can check them out here or see photos of my experience below.

Have you been to Pop Brixton?!
Where’s your favourite place to hang out with friends?

Thank you for reading, lots of love…
