My MUST read - 'The Secret' By Rhonda Byrne

Updated On 26th April, 2020

You know when you have one of those weeks where everything just seems to go wrong. One thing after another. Worse and worse until all you wanna do is curl up under your duvet and dream of hot climates and white sands. Just me? Nah – we all ‘av em!
Anyway, here’s my secret. ‘The Secret’.
What’s it about? For me, it pinpoints the education around
‘The Law Of Attraction’.

If that’s something new to you then, prepare for it to change your life.
Although; it will only change your life if you want your life to change. If you decide to read this book then you will have already decided you want change, and by change, I don’t mean circumstances, I mean perspective.
It’s all in the power of your mind.
The basic understanding is ‘like attracts like’.
If you’re positive and have positive thoughts you will attract positive people, positive things, and positive outcomes.
Similar concept with negative thoughts.
Here’s a little taster from the book itself:
‘Everything that surrounds you right now in your life including the things you’re complaining about, you’ve attracted. Now i know at first blush thats going to be something you hate to hear. You’re going to immediately say, “i didn’t attract that car accident. I didn’t attract this particular client who gives me a hard time. I didn’t particularly attract the debt.” And I’m here to be a little bit in your face and say, yes you did attract it. This is one of the hardest concepts to get but once you’ve accepted it, it’s life transforming.’
I won’t give too much away, all I can say is this book has become like a bible to me. When I have those bad days, I read a little bit to remind myself, to almost retrain my brain into changing the negative thinking pattern it often slips back into.
It’s a really easy read, allowing you to dip in and out of it whenever you have a spare 5 minutes, which is usually just before I get into bed 🙂
(Perfect as a stocking filler) 🙂
My bedtime read: The Secret by Rhonda Byrne.
There are many books out there that underpin a similar concept. Another one I have dipped into before and never properly read is ‘The Power Of Now’.
On my birthday, aside from The Thai Terrace + the Spa, Mum took me to a seminar taken by the world famous Eckhart Tolle, author of ‘The Power of Now’. My mum has been a ‘fan’ for ages and I’m so glad she chose to take me along.
Honestly, these concepts have completely changed my outlook, my attitude and as a result, my life. (cringe maybe, but true).
Eckhart Tolle Seminar, London. Sunday 27th October 2013.

After being completely inspired by Eckhart, ‘The Power of Now’ is on my to-read list, so i’ll let you know how i get on!

Meanwhile, pop The Secret on your list for Santa 🙂
